The AirHed Neo 2.0 Ball Head with QR Plate from 3 Legged Thing is a precision-engineered Arca-type, multifunctional ball head with a refined magnesium alloy and stainless steel casing that has a load capacity of up to 39.7 pounds. This compact head weighs only 11.6 ounces and has a height of 3″, making it well suited to travel and tabletop tripods, monopods, and other supports. The Arca-type quick release platform features a torpedo level and includes a bright orange quick release plate. The main control knob provides adjustable tension to balance the weight of a wide range of cameras, and the panoramic base has a precision number scale and an independent locking knob. The stylish black casing features bright orange accents and incorporates a cutout that allows vertical platform orientation for shooting in a portrait perspective.

Solid ball head, works well on platypus Ultra. Used in Cathedral in Cologne with out an issue to bracket photos.

I bought the 3 LT Neo 2.0 to use on my Manfrotto Be-free travel tripod. The tripod legs need to close snugly in order for the travel tripod to stow properly. This head and its plate are small enough so that happens. It’s well made, looks cool and overall seems like a great value for the price. Also very lightweight, so works well with a travel tripod.

Purchased to replace a previous ball ball head that was developing a lot of slop. This AaiHed Neo2 has been a rest replacement so far and I’m really happy with the fit and finish. It has good clamping force on the ball and the jaws make good contact with my existing Peak design plate. Its nice to have the bubble levels but I wish they were on the other side as I keep my orange release knob facing the back of the camera so I can’t see the levels. But nothing is sticky and the mechanisms release gradually as you twist the knobs for the ball head and swivel mechanism. It’s not the smallest or lightest ball head I have used but it’s a very good middle of the road option that I would happily recommend to others.
